Creating clothes that last long is one thing. Champs maintains a delicate balance between toughness and comfort in every style we create. There’s a lot you can do to ensure the clothes endure. Read on to know how you can give your kids favorite clothes the care they deserve.

Velour fabric:

Velour is known for being sturdy and resistant to most dirt and strains. But it can of course get dirty if not cleaned regularly.

Machine wash
  • Always check the cloth care label in the fabric to ensure it can be machine washed or only hand washed is recommended. If the fabric doesn’t have a care label, (all Champs clothes will have clear and complete cloth care label in multiple languages) you may want to wash it in hand just to be safe.
  • It’s always a good idea to place velour fabric in a mesh laundry bag to avoid damage to the fabric.
  • Only the right amount of mild, gentle laundry detergent should be used. Avoid pouring the detergent directly on the velour fabric.
  • Always use “gentle”, “delicate” settings in the washing machine.
  • Velour is lot sturdier than other velvet like fabrics. So it can be placed in the dryer provided it is mentioned in the cloth care label. If not, it is safe to hang them in the indirect sunlight to dry.
Hand wash
  • If you are hand washing a velour fabric, use a tub full of cool water and add approximately 10 to 15 ml of mild detergent.
  • Let the fabric soak in the soap water for 10 to 15 minutes. Make sure the fabric is fully submerged.
  • If the fabric has visible dirt, try rubbing the fabric with a piece of muslin to remove the dirt.
  • Rinse the fabric with cool water until the water runs clear. Make sure the fabric is fully rinsed and all the detergent have been completely removed.
  • Hang the fabric in indirect sunlight to dry. It could take a while for the fabric to dry out completely. Ensure it is fully dried before it finds its place in your kids wardrobe.
